CHRISTOPHER L. SALLAY

NEW YORK CITY PERSONAL INJURY ATTORNEY

Christopher L. Sallay is committed to representing clients in the New York City area and in New Jersey. He focuses his practice on handling personal injury cases that involve construction accidents, car accidents, medical malpractice, municipal liability and products liability. Mr. Sallay is also the firm's in-house General Counsel for all matters relating to ethics and professional conduct.

Mr. Sallay is a leading New York City injury attorney and has been included in Super Lawyers® as a Top 100 Lawyer in the New York Metropolitan Area since 2015. He has received among the Top 100 point totals in the Super Lawyers® New York Metro nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. Each year, the results have been published in the Magazine Section of the New York Times. He has also been included in The Best Lawyers in America® in Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs (since 2016) and Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs (2017).

Mr. Sallay has extensive experience in high profile personal injury cases in the areas of medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents and products liability. Mr. Sallay is responsible for all aspects of litigation, from the initial meeting of clients through the ultimate resolution of the case and has tried cases in both New York and New Jersey. He is admitted to the Bar of New York and the Bar of New Jersey, in addition to the federal courts of both states, and has practiced extensively in those courts. Mr. Sallay has exceptional skills in the taking of depositions and has traveled throughout the country deposing necessary parties and witnesses. His skills in questioning medical professionals and confronting them with verifiable medical facts and principles have led to the swift and favorable resolution of multiple malpractice claims. His background and training in computerized legal research has proven to be an invaluable aid in the preparation of motions and appellate briefs for submission to the Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals. Mr. Sallay believes that hard work is the hallmark of a great attorney and is the only way to truly represent the interests of a client. It is this conviction and attention to detail that has led to the significant resolutions of cases which involved difficult or unique legal questions.

Mr. Sallay knows the physical and emotional turmoil a personal injury lawsuit can take, not only on plaintiffs, but also on their families. From the initial consultation to the final resolution, he has a reputation for communicating effectively with his clients regarding their case.

Over the course of his career as a New York City injury attorney, Mr. Sallay has consistently secured outcomes that meet or exceed clients' expectations. For example, when an 18-year-old man was prescribed improper medication and suffered liver failure, Mr. Sallay obtained an $8 million settlement.* In another case, he negotiated a $6 million settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit concerning a drunk driver.* For his successes and ethical standards, Mr. Sallay has earned the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell and holds an AVVO "Superb" rating.

Mr. Sallay graduated near the top of his class from Brooklyn Law School where he was a member of the prestigious Moot Court Honor Society - National Trial Advocacy Team. While in law school, his writing and advocacy skills were recognized with the Samuel Witte Prize for Literature and the Law and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Trial Advocacy. He continues to be a member of several professional organizations including the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Sallay strongly believes in giving back to the legal community. He is a frequent lecturer for the New York State Bar Association and has co-chaired multiple CLE programs in the area of Motor Vehicle Accident Litigation.
