Father of Three Dies of Heart Attack Because Doctors Failed to Communicate

Father of Three Dies of Heart Attack Because Doctors Failed to Communicate -- NY Lawyer Barry Washor 212.406.1700 Listen as New York personal injury attorney Barry Washor recalls a tragic story in which a father of three died at the hands of doctors who simply didn't work on their communication. The 48 year-old man came into the hospital complaining of chest pains and fatigue. He was run through several tests and most of those tests did not point out anything specific or serious. However, there was one test that was not only done improperly, but did show a serious sign of a medical condition with the patient's heart. The cardiologist performed the test and immediately faxed the results to the attending physician who was in charge of our client's case. This fax was ignored and our client was sent home. Unfortunately, he died later that day as he returned to the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Something that could have been prevented if he had been told about his condition. And to add insult to injury, the physician in charge did call the patient - the next morning. He tried to tell a grieving widow that her husband needed to return to the hospital immediately as his health was in danger. Watch this video to learn more.
