Founding partner Fred Queller is recognized as one of the undisputed leaders of the New York plaintiffs’ bar. In a practice spanning nearly half a century, Mr. Queller has won countless multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients, including two of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in the history of New York state a $46 million wrongful death verdict for a misdiagnosis of congestive heart failure and a $27.5 million verdict for brain damage caused by a botched spinal tap.

Mr. Queller has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America for personal injury litigation, and one of the Best Lawyers in New York for personal injury by New York magazine. He has held many prestigious posts, including president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, president of the New York Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, dean of the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute, director of the Association of Trial Lawyers of the City of New York, governor of the Jewish Trial Lawyers Guild, member of the Council of Presidents of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, director of the Metropolitan Women’s Bar Association, chairman and president of the Big Apple Pothole and Sidewalk Protection Corporation, and cochairman of the Lawyers’ Committee on Judicial Screening.

His contributions to the profession and community have been recognized in a host of honors and awards, including the President’s Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; Man of the Year from the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education; and Humanitarian Award from the Institute of Jewish Humanities. He served as an arbitrator for 15 years with the First Judicial Department for the State of New York and as cochairman of the Judicial Screening Committee of Lawyers’ Committee.

Mr. Queller lectures frequently for various lawyers’ groups and other professional associations, and has written numerous articles on personal injury and medical malpractice for the Trial Lawyers Quarterly, New York Law Journal, and other publications. He graduated from New York University School of Law in 1956 and the City College of the city of New York in 1954.
